Kicking things off
Well, here goes. This is a half-baked scheme to maintain some sense of accountability for work on my dissertation. I'm starting a blog. How 2007 of me! Hopefully I've learned from the mistakes I made when trying to do this back in 2012:
1. short posts
2. long posts only when there's actually a lot to say
3. don't make political predictions
4. short posts
So, to sum up: the goal is quick updates on what I've been doing/reading/analyzing/writing, with an eye toward a quick summary or "most interesting factoid" I uncovered on a given day. Shooting for three days a week, with posts of 300 words or less (which for me constitutes short). More structure will follow more structure in my actual dissertation process. Woo.
